Growing Up

When you're young, you spend all your time looking forward - working (seemingly) so hard on what you want to become. It seems like as soon as you start looking back you lose something extremely valuable. I think you lessen the importance of the "today" - and I'm still trying to figure out if there's something you can do about it. From all outward appearances it seems you can't. Maybe 'growing up' is just us learning to deal with this.
